Firefox is about to go version 1.0 – and the preview release server is being hit harder (grabbed my copy off a friend). So far not a lot different to the 0.9x releases, except the addition of “Live Bookmarks” – the ability to view the latest weblog post headlines (from weblogs you subscribe to) in your bookmarks folder. Interesting implementation (Mozilla.org’s email client, Thunderbird, now sports a similar feature).
Unfortunatley, despite my RSS feed validating (try it), it fails to load in Firefox. Not sure why… On the whole this is looking like a very interesting release. I wonder how many people have been waiting for the final release before trying it? I have one friend who I know hasn’t updated for a while waiting for the final 1.0 release.
Interesting times in browser land…
