Charging for email Paying for e-mail: An idea whose time has come?

Yeh – whatever. Charging for email is a stoopid idea. The author complains that other measures currently being considered “remains a work in progress. It is also unclear whether the technology will work as advertised.”

Well, they sure sound a lot more promising than trying to charge for sending an email. I can’t believe this idea is even gaining traction. I hate spam. I get between 50 and 100 per day. But charging for email sending is not the solution. Whitelisting is the best solution. Best of all – it’s here today, and it’s free.
