GetUp is hiring

They are looking for a Web Editor/Producer. More over the jump…

Web Editor/Producer wanted

GetUp is seeking a web editor/producer for an exciting new role managing the day-to-day upkeep and development of GetUp.org.au, Australia’s most popular and recognised political website.

In its first fifteen months, more than 160,000 Australians have signed-up to receive email action Updates from GetUp on important issues. GetUp’s membership have worked together – writing to and calling politicians, raising money for national advertising campaigns, and getting together in person locally – to bring national attention to issues such as David Hicks, climate change, and refugees.

You would be an integral member of our small and dynamic team, involved in the preparation of all our email and web-based campaigns.

You will possess and utilise strong skills using Content Management Systems, image manipulation, and intermediate HTML – you may also help moderate blogs and write copy for the website.

A key part of your role will be liaising with external programming, design and webhosting contractors: although an ability to take over some work currently outsourced would be an advantage.

With strong project and time management abilities, you will relish the opportunity to work for a non-profit organisation at the very forefront of online campaigning worldwide. Experience is less important for this role than skills and enthusiasm.

The role:
Reports to the Online & Outreach Director
Based in Sydney CBD
Available for an immediate start
Time: Full Time preferred. 1 year contract.
Salary package circa $45-55K.

To apply submit your resume + a short cover letter. All applications & inquiries to nick@getup.org.au – applications close Monday 20th of March (happy to also receive apps after deadline for other potential roles)
