The future of music

Rolling Stone interviews Steve Jobs. [via Scripting News]

This is an entertaining and worthwhile read. I like Steve Jobs – he’s arrogant, but I really enjoy his attitude. His big message throughout the article that if a legal alternative to file swapping existed, most people would get their music legally. He has some interesting views on the structure of the music industry, the success of the iPod, music downloading, and how the movie industry is a different beast and is less likely to experience the same level of piracy that the music industry is experiencing.
