Uni & Digital Cameras

chris_paul_20030505.jpg See what happens when you let someone loose with a digital camera – they take incriminating pictures and post them on their blog!

This is a shot of Chris and Paul, friends from uni as we celebrated the conclusion of another Contemporary Cultures 1 class. I really enjoy the conversations that have been happening over a beer on a Monday night (they aren’t very healthy, but extremely illuminating), and I have borrowed a friend’s digital camera for a day or two so thought I’d capture a moment.

I plugged it into the eMac I have at home, and up popped iPhoto – found the camera, and imported the images. I didn’t have to do a thing. I cropped and de-redeyed it, and up it goes to my blog courtesy of MovableType. Only gripe – iPhoto’s export function doesn’t seem to work properly. I’ll have to upgrade to the current version and see if it’s any better.

Gotta get me one of these – there are so many things I could use it for (uni being one of them). It’s a Canon PowerShot S20 (3.3 megapixels) for anyone that’s interested – it’s about 2.5 years old, and it’s still great.

But don’t hold this photo against the camera. I’m a terrible shot!
